As we await the winner of the blog candy to be drawn, I'd like to share a project. It's an altered tin. While I usually paint, distress and cover the entire tin, this one is different. I decided to leave the "metal" look and just alter the top. It's also larger than any other tin I've done, measuring at 5×7.
Isn't it adorable? It can be used to store precious memorabilia from your little one, giving as a gift, or even used to store your "baby" gift cards. I used the cute Toodle Loo paper collection from The Angel Company and inked the edges of all the papers. The giraffe stamp was colored in with watercolor pencils and then blended for some depth.
I hope you all enjoy the remainder of your week. Be on the lookout for the winner of the Blog Candy!
So cute!
Love that sweet project!! Great job!! I see you did add me to your blog. Thanks so much!! I think I already did add you, but would you like to be a friend of my blog too? I would love it!!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!
That is so cute! I have a cedar cigar box that’s about that size that I am going to alter and give to my cousin for her wedding. She is getting married on Valentine’s Day! Happens to be my sons birthday too! It just came out so adorable!! Love it!
