Over the past couple of years, I’ve made many Valentine’s cards and gifts. However, this year, I wanted to make an actual “Valentine.” You know, like those little Valentine’s kids buy at the store. So, I did… and made a cute little pocket to go with it. I rounded the corners on my daughter’s Valentine (bottom), but decided that I liked them better not rounded (see top one).
I used a discontinued stamp set from The Angel Company (isn’t the froggy adorable) and layered it twice with white and pink. I filled the large heart in with Paper Glaze because… well, because I love that stuff.
The little folder was made by cutting a circle with my Coluzzle. I then used my Scor-Pal and folded the cirle [almost in half] and then folded the sides in. I used wonder tape to hold the side down… and Voila! I embellished with some eyelets and a felt heart-shaped brad. The little Valentine sits in there so nicely!
I made one for each of my clients in the group home, too, and they LOVED them.
Happy Valentine’s Day, my Friends!
